Providing services to those in the surrounding community are work from home employment options that can be legitimate.

There are some questions that can be asked before looking into a job option that can help determine if it is a good place to invest time or money:

  • does the person advertising the job get paid to recruit people to sign up?
  • does the work require an upfront investment to an unknown company or person?
  • is there real work involved in getting paid, or is money made by recruiting more people to sign up?
  • are income levels proven, or are they revealed through unknown sources?
  • Is the proof in online testimonials, or is this a business many people have tried all over the country, which continue to thrive in most communities?)

Providing Cleaning or Organizing Services

In a society full of busy people, many of who struggle to keep up with the tasks of working, caring for children, and keeping up the house, the service of providing cleaning or organizing work is in demand. This is a job that can be done in just about any community, and can be full time, part time, or casual work as desired.

A house cleaner or organizer often works alone, but some choose to work in pairs in order to get work done faster, and to provide a sense of security to those opening their homes to strangers for such services. Obtaining bonding and insurance provides further peace of mind to home owners.

Those looking into a maid or organizing service would benefit from having the following characteristics:

  • energetic - this can be a physically demanding job, and it is useful if a person committing to the work not become to tired to fulfill the contract
  • subservient attitude - the basis of this job is in helping people by doing the tasks they want completed in a way that will satisfy the clients.
  • enjoy cleaning and organizing - when a person likes this job, it will show in the quality of their work. A person who does not enjoy cleaning in the first place might find it challenging to the repetitive task of cleaning houses for others.

Earning Income Through Room Rental

Houses are often larger these days, and contain smaller families. In homes where there is more space than a family truly requires, there is the option of renting bedrooms, or dividing the home to contain a suite in order to generate income.

An owner providing a rental room also has the option of providing extra services to their renters in order to bring in further income and provide more satisfaction to those renting the property.

Some extra services that could be provided in addition to a place to rent include:

  • board - many renters would appreciate having meals and snacks included in their rent. This reduces challenges in sharing a kitchen, and allows the renter to budget their food expenses into their rent.
  • laundry or cleaning services - for those who are busy in work or school, the elderly, or those who do not enjoy doing such chores, providing laundry and cleaning services as part of rent and board can be a welcome addition to a rental contract.
  • driving - for students, or those who do not have a vehicle or do not wish to keep up the insurance and upkeep costs, providing transportation for an extra fee can be very convenient to the renter.

Providing Services for Self Employment

Legitimate work from home opportunities are often available in providing services to the community. Through cleaning, organizing, renting, or another service, there is income to be made in the area of service.
